Streamer Kai Cenat is streaming his playthrough of Bloodborne in order to convince Sony to work on a “remaster or remake”.

During his stream, content creator Kai Cenat explained that the reason he is playing Bloodborne is because he wants to get the attention of PlayStation and FromSoftwareso that they consider making a remaster or a remake for both PS5 and PC.

Cenat said that he has the power to bring attention to a topic within the Souls community. He said that the developers have watched his every move when it came to him playing these games, so the least that he can do is try and push the narrative for something to happen. He called out both PlayStation and FromSoftware and pointed out that Bloodborne is one of the most highly requested games for a remaster and a PC version.

A Bloodborne remake or remaster would undoubtedly do well in the current landscape, especially after the massive success of Elden Ring. Earlier, it was reported that the player count for Bloodborne had risen by 57% in June, 2024, during the month of release of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It was also mentioned that this player count spike coincided with the lead-up to Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s launch on Friday, June 21, 2024. Furthermore, the Bloodborne player count rose by another 11% after the release of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

From the beginning of June, 2024, to the week after the Elden Ring expansion launched, Bloodborne’s player count on PS5 and PS4 rose by 57.77%. This spike appeared to be driven by FromSoftware fans who were eager to play other games from the developer. However, unlike other FromSoftware titles such as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Dark Souls Remastered, Bloodborne continued to attract more players after the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, making it the 65th most-played PlayStation game during the week ending June 30, 2024.
