Dancing influencer hits back at who called her a ‘whale’ and reveals the five-figure monthly sum she makes from her online content

Dancing influencer Jade Adams has responded to cruel ‘body shaming’ trolls after getting caught at the centre of a huge online controversy this week.

The social media star, 27, from the Central Coast, was left shocked when a video of herself dancing in public was shared to Instagram page Influencers In The Wild.

The account is known for satirically poking fun at influencers filming in public places, and shared a video of Jade recording in a secluded park area this week.

But the online creator was quickly caught at the centre of a ‘body shaming’ row as trolls flocked to the comments section to cruelly comment on her appearance.

Feminist writer Clementine Ford was among those to support her and slam the ‘gross f**kers’ who mocked her and left ‘body shaming’ comments underneath the post.

Jade, who goes by chubbybellyredhead on Instagram, has now responded to the uproar and admitted she was ‘shocked’ to discover somebody was ‘watching’ her and had filmed her without her knowledge.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, she shared: ‘I’m a little bit shocked I guess! I always go out and I like to film out in public, obviously not in anyone’s way but it still ended up on the page, which was weird. I was very shocked by it.’

‘I just laughed it off. I was scrolling down my reels and I was like ”wait, that’s me”. I checked my messages and I had tonnes of people send it to me,’ she went on.

‘It is weird to know I was being filmed without my knowledge. It will be weird to do it again without feeling like I’m being watched but I guess the more I do it, the easier it is. I’ve just got to get back out there.’

Jade – who makes a five-figure monthly salary online – admitted it wasn’t ‘easy’ reading the unkind remarks and criticised strangers for making assumptions about her body.

However, she praised the people who flocked to her defence amid the body shaming row and said it was a change to get so much support from other women.

‘Normally I get lots of bad comments but it seemed like I was getting lots of support on there. It was definitely a flip because people are I think very confused about why people aren’t hating on me and are supporting me because I’m big,’ she said.

‘They’re like ”if she was a skinny person then everyone would be laughing at her”. It’s just funny to read the comments and see what people really think.’

‘I’ve had lots of support and messages telling me to keep doing my thing which is lovely. But the comments calling me a whale and all that stuff, I’m used to that,’ she went on.

‘It’s not easy, but for me, I feel like I want to inspire other people, especially bigger women, because it’s hard to put yourself out there online just to get lots of hate. It does deter a lot of people away.’

Jade gave an insight into some of the cruel comments she has previously received online and said she has to delete some of them as not to upset her loved ones.

‘I have people telling me all the time that I’m going to die by the time I’m 30 and I’ve been pretty big my whole life,’ she went on.

‘I exercise every day, I’m healthy but people just make assumptions. Those are the ones that sometimes I’ll delete as if my parents saw that, they’d be very upset.’

Jade said she doesn’t let the online comments bother her because people never say it to her face as she reflected back on her years of getting bullied at school.

‘I got bullied a lot during school and the online comments don’t really faze me too much because they don’t come up and speak to me in person, they just record me,’ she said.

‘I think the person [who filmed me] either thought I was really confident and good at what I was doing or they were making fun of me, but I’ll never know. I just try to take it positively or it affects me.’

Despite the video being shared to satirical page Influencers In The Wild, Jade insisted she is not embarrassed about filming in public as she does it for a living.

Jade went on to reveal she makes a staggering $20,000 per month from her accounts on OnlyFans, Instagram and TikTok.

She launched her online career in October 2022 after realising she could make a living from her content, and has now paused her nursing studies to focus on the lucrative venture.

‘I was doing my nursing degree, I’m two years into that and I just started doing camming and stuff online and realised I could start making money off it and started making more than my nursing job,’ she explained.

‘So I thought I might as well take a break as it’s burning me out, my nursing degree, and make as much money as I can.’

Staying positive amid the trolling uproar, Jade said she is keeping her focus on trying to inspire other people to follow their dreams regardless of their shape or size.

‘I want to show everyone that they can do what they want regardless of size or whether people tear them down. Whether you’re making money online or not, it’s everyone’s place to share and dance and do what they want,’ she said.

‘I’m trying to reduce the stigma towards it and everything. A lot of people tell me ”are you sure you’d be able to go back [to nursing]?” but if I get told I can’t do it, that’s really discriminatory so I’d probably just change jobs.

‘I used to be a vet nurse so I have degrees behind me, so I can kind of do what I want to do to get by.’

She also urged her ‘haters’ to follow her on Instagram, where she already has over 168,000 followers, assuring them that her dancing videos will make them ‘happy’.
