Cadillac Announces 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package: Video

General Motors unveiled the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing this past January, pulling the sheets on a model refresh that includes a new exterior design, a revamped cabin, and new tech features as well. As was the case previously, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is once again the most track-capable production vehicle to ever wear the Cadillac crest. Now, Caddy is upping the ante even further with the release of the new 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package.

According to Cadillac, the new Precision Package is designed to “improve path precision and increase corner speeds for the discerning driving enthusiast,” and is geared specifically for enhanced on-track capability without compromising on the luxury or refinement expected of the Caddy crest.

To that end, the Precision Package includes increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, and revised suspension bushings, while new steering knuckles were installed up front alongside new toe links in the rear, all to enable more-aggressive track-spec wheel alignment. In addition, the MagneRide dampers, steering system, chassis control, and Electronic Limited Slip Differential were all recalibrated for more performance. To top it off, the package includes carbon ceramic brakes.

The cumulative result of all these go-faster goodies is “improved steering precision into the corner apex, increased stability on corner exit and more road feel for spirited driving situations.”

Of course, the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine remains present and accounted for, chucking out 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The GM six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the GM 10-speed automatic transmission is optional. All CT5 variants ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while vehicle assembly takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River Assembly plant.

GM declined to provide pricing information, but did indicate that the first units of the CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will roll off the production line early next year.
