The Walking Dead has been a divisive show throughout the series’ run. Since the threat of gruesome demise constantly looms over each and every character, fans can easily become alienated – especially when the writers decide to off a fan favorite. The show has made plenty of odd decisions over the years, such as toying with fans about the fate of a beloved character for a few episodes, only to have him return – then die even more brutally at the end of the season. Truly, there are plenty of choices for determining the worst moments from TWD.

The show’s long-imposing ratings eventually began to diminish – as do those of all shows that trudge into their twilight years – but many believe those ratings-hits occur in tandem with some of the writers’ more questionable decisions. TWD has given onetime fans many reasons to jump ship over the years.
