Metro FM radio personality Lerato Kganyago responds to Gayton McKenzie’s views about Miss SA finalist, Chidimma Onwe Adetshina.
LERATO KGANYAGO: ‘I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH THE MINISTER’
The media personality Lerato Kganyago reveals in an Instagram LIVE with Somizi that she hopes Miss SA finalist Chidimma Adetshina gets therapy.
Kganyago who is a judge on Crown Chasers says South Africans find it easier to attack black women because they are weaker.
“I wouldn’t be part of an organisation that is dishonest. There was proper vetting that was done, proper research and proper documentation were received to proof she is South African.”
“My opinion is based on facts. I respect everyone’s frustration. It’s easier to attack a black woman. There was a Miss South Africa a while ago, one was Portuguese.”
“The only person I feel sorry for is this young lady. I hope she gets therapy. Let’s base our points on facts. Social media is so dangerous. “
“I was a bit disappointed with the minister yesterday. The last statement he said, ‘it looks dodgy’ because now we are putting the life of this young lady in danger.”
Kganyago’s statement comes after McKenzie said Adetshina’s celebratory video raises legitimate concerns.
The Sports, Arts and Culture Minister said on social media that we [South Africa] cannot have Nigerians compete in our Miss SA competition.
He also revealed that he will get the facts and return with an answer and the video raised legitimate suspicion.
SOMIZI BACKS CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA
Metro FM radio personality Somizi Mhlongo also believes that Miss SA hopeful Chidimma Adetshina is getting dragged on social media because she looks fragile.
“I understand people’s frustration. I am also frustrated about illegal immigrants in the country. But I have my senses at the right place to know not to use my energy at this young lady. There’s Home Affairs to deal with that. “
“Because she looks weak, she looks fragile, it’s easier for us to attack her.”
