Nicola Coughlan is revealing one stipulation in her Bridgerton contract that is actually more for her parents.

The actress, who plays Penelope Featherington in the hit Netflix period drama, shared in a recent interview with SiriusXM Hits 1, via The Independent, that she demanded the show provide an alternate cut of season three with less nudity to show her family.

“It’s literally written into my contract,” Coughlan said. “People think I’m like saying it as a joke. I just don’t want to. I grew up Irish Catholic. That’s just not how we vibe.”

The Derry Girls actress, who appeared throughout Bridgerton‘s first two seasons, has previously talked about the “spicy” upcoming season, which centers on her character being courted by Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton. She told Entertainment Tonight last year that “a lot of the stuff from the books that the fans expect has made it into the show.”

Elsewhere in Thursday’s interview, Coughlan also remembered her mother’s initial reaction to the amount of nudity in season one of the Chris Van Dusen-created series, saying, “When she first saw Bridgerton, she didn’t know it was gonna be so saucy.”

“And then you get a bottom, Jonathan Bailey’s lovely bottom, about two minutes into the first episode ever. And she was like, ‘What is this?’ the Big Mood actress continued. “But then, now she thinks it’s fantastic and really funny, and she keeps talking about bottoms.”

Bridgerton season three premieres in two parts, with the first one dropping on May 16 and part two releasing on June 13.
