Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree – how to open locked doors in the first Legacy Dungeon, Belurat, Tower Settlement

In Elden Ring, the Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion has brought a massive amount of new content into the game, a lot of which is hidden from the player unless they go out of their way to explore. To find as many items and rewards as possible, the player must venture off the beaten path to find them. One of the first notable examples of this is the locked doors in the first Legacy Dungeon, Belurat, Tower Settlement.

As players progress through Belurat, Tower Settlement, the home of the Horsent, they will encounter two locked doors. These doors contain secrets behind them and will reward the player with new items for their exploration. In order to open these doors, however, you must find their corresponding keys located within the Legacy Dungeon.

Storeroom Key Location In Elden Ring

Located On The Path From Small Private Altar

The Storeroom Key location in Belurat, Tower Settlement in Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

From the Belurat, Tower Settlement Site of Grace, make your way east past the fountain and up the stairs. Once you pass the enemies casting holy magic from the bridge, you will reach the Small Private Altar Site of Grace, which is near where the first locked door is located. Cross the bridge to find the door, which is still locked until you find the Storeroom Key.

Continue north from the Small Private Altar Site of Grace, taking out the Horned Warrior. Proceed down the alley to the northwest, watching for Shadow Undead as you go. You will find a room with a ladder, at the top of which will be the Storeroom Key. While you can unlock the Storeroom now, you will not be able to receive the rewards from Hornsent Grandam until you defeat the area boss, Divine Beast Dancing Lion.

Well Depths Key Location In Elden Ring

Located Just Past The Storeroom Key

The Well Depths Key is not too far from the Storeroom Key, so you can follow the same path from the Small Private Altar Site of Grace. Once you have found the Storeroom Key, proceed outside to the south. However, don’t go down the stairs. Instead, hug the wall and jump on the roof, which will lead you to a small bridge. You will find the Well Depths Key in the room east of this bridge.

You can fast travel back to the Belurat, Tower Settlement Site of Grace to speed up the process.

To find the locked door for the Well Depths Key, head back outside past the Storeroom Key location and go north up the stairs this time. Hang left and proceed west until you find stairs leading to the south. Take the lift at the bottom of the stairs and continue south to return to the Belurat, Tower Settlement Site of Grace. Follow the path past the fountain again, turning to the west this time to find a well in the ground. Take the ladder down the well to find the locked door.

Using The Secret Keys In Elden Ring

Time For Some Juicy Rewards

Using the Storeroom Key with the Divine Beast Head to receive the Watchful Spirit incantation in Elden Ring: Shadow Of the Erdtree

Once you have defeated the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, you will receive the Divine Beast Head . Equip this helm and travel back to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace, where you can speak with Hornsent Grandam, who will now have additional dialogue. She will reward you with the Watchful Spirit spell, a new Faith incantation.

Items Hidden By Keys

Storeroom Key
Well Depths Key

Watchful Spirit Incantation – Summons a guardian spirit above the caster’s head.
Poisoned Hand – Strength/Arcane Fist Weapon

Immunizing Horn Charm +2 – Vastly raises immunity

After using the Well Depths Key to open the locked door, you will find an open area filled with poison and Man-Flies. To the northwest of where you enter this area, you will find the Poisoned Hand , a new Fist weapon for Arcane Poison builds. To the east, there will be a Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirit that drops the Immunizing Horn Charm +2, which vastly raises immunity.

Use the Poisoned Hand alongside the new Ash of War, The Poison Flower Blooms Twice, on a poison-infused Antspur Rapier .

The Poisoned Hand is a fantastic new weapon that excels when being offhanded. This is because of its built-in buff that will increase the player’s attack power when poisoning occurs in the vicinity. This means you can two-hand your main weapon with the Poisoned Hand equipped and still receive its benefits. With your new items in hand, it’s time to take on the rest of the Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion in Elden Ring.
