Travel influencer Jae’lynn Chaney, from Canada, shares her tips and experiences as a plus sized traveller, but thinks airlines and other brands should do more to accommodate bigger bodies

A plus sized travel blogger has spoken out to say that everyone deserves to explore the world and that larger people shouldn’t have to “shrink themselves”.

Jae’lynn Chaney, from Vancouver, Canada, has an enormous Instagram following of over 83,000.

The self-styled “body positive baddie” shared all things travel, fashion and lifestyle with her fans, @jaebaeproductions.

And, she shares videos showing off her exotic holiday destinations, bikini looks and advice for fellow plus-sized adventurers.

In a recent video clip, Jae’lynn showed herself standing on a balcony staring at the sea and palm trees beyond.

Plastered over the video she wrote: “Fat people can live their best lives too.”

And, in the caption the star added: “Just a reminder that you can live your best life no matter your size! Living your best life looks different for everyone and that’s perfectly ok. ⁣

⁣”I’m happiest when I’m traveling and when I’m encouraging people of all sizes to get out there and travel too.

“This world truly wasn’t built for plus size people to thrive.

“So when we are changing the narrative and showing the world that plus size people can do just as much as anyone else, people can’t seem to handle it. “

She added: “Sadly, I’ve received some of the most hateful comments of my entire life since posting about traveling as a plus size Woman of Colour with disabilities. ⁣

“I’m not going to lie there have been many tears shed and thoughts of calling it quits on the entire thing. But then I remember why I’m doing this and what it would mean to give up on my dreams. ⁣

“YOU are the reason that I keep going and why I won’t give up even when it gets really rough.

“All bodies can be travel bodies! We all deserve to live our best lives, no matter our size!”

In another clip, Jae’lynn posted about using oxygen as a traveller.

She showed herself hooked up to the breathing parts on a plane and said: “I wear a size 6x and am an oxygen user.

“If I can fly, you can too! Don’t let anyone hold you back.”

⁣The curvy creator added: “EveryBODY can be a travel body! I made this video for people of all sizes and abilities, to remind you that if you want to travel it is possible!

“It might be a little bit of a challenge, but if it’s what you dream of then it’s totally worth it! “

And, the travel influencer even shared some of her top tips.

Jae’lynn said: “If you think you’ll need extra time getting on the plane select priority boarding or once you’re at the gate ask if you can pre-board for extra time.

“If you are worried about not fitting comfortably in one seat it might be better to book two seats if possible.”

Speaking to the Columbian, Jae’lynn commented: “When I get on social media, I see tons and tons of people working with brands, demanding change from brands, that they increase their sizes and accommodate their plus-size customers.
