When confronted by the paparazzi, Elizabeth Olsen had the perfect response about her sisters Full House stars Mary-Kate and Ashley. The WandaVision star has enjoyed her time in the spotlight as the fan-favorite Wanda Maximoff, AKA the Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Debuting in Avengers: Age of Ultron, starring in the Disney+ series WandaVision and co-starring in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen has become a household name thanks to Wanda Maximoff.
However, she is not the first Olsen to be a household name. Anyone who grew up in the 1990s will recognize her older twin sisters, Mary Kate, and Ashley Olsen. The twins starred in Full House as Michelle Tanner, the youngest sister of the Tanner family. Shooting to fame from that role, the Olsen twins would star in films like It Takes Two and Double Double Toil and Trouble, along with other television roles like The Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley and Two of a Kind. However, the twins have since retreated from their stardom, not even returning for the Full House revival Fuller House. Instead, they have focused on a successful fashion career that has garnered them recognition and awards.
But this does not stop the paparazzi from wanting to know more about the famous twins. In a recent tweet posted by Alias, a paparazzi member confronted Elizabeth Olsen about her sisters and their treatment of press members. “How come you’re so much nicer than your sisters,” the paparazzi member asked. “You guys have been bothering them their whole lives,” Olsen responded. Check out the response in the tweet below.

The Olsen twins got their breakout role as Michelle Tanner when they were infants. The role of Michelle Tanner became such an iconic role that people today still say some of her famous catchphrases like “You got it, dude,” “puh-lease,” and “You’re in big trouble, mister.” However, because of the iconic status of this character, the Olsen twins never truly got a private childhood. Once Full House ended, they went on to star in a slew of television series, direct-to-video roles, and films. Their lives had been in the public eye since they were in diapers. While they still keep in touch with their Full House co-stars, that does not necessarily mean they want to return to acting.
Elizabeth Olsen’s response to the paparazzi member is perfect. When their roles and constant press exposure define one’s whole life, it is bound to get exhausting, annoying, and will take a toll on that individual. Everyone deserves the right to privacy. If every time someone left their home and was hounded by the press, it makes sense that they would ultimately get annoyed and work to avoid them every which way possible. Olsen’s comment is a reminder that celebrities are human too. They want privacy and not to have to worry about their latest excursion being on the front page of the tabloid, something that Olsen helps remind her fellow MCU co-stars about.
