AMC has a long list of series within The Walking Dead universe which began with main series in 2010. Now, 14 years later the network is still creating more series within the universe. What’s next?

AMC has done a great job building The Walking Dead universe with the main series and six spinoffs so far. The original series used the comic created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard as source material, and while it often stayed true to the source, it also expanded the story, adding new storylines and characters throughout its 12-year run.

This series was wildly popular, as fans longed to see these characters return.
Is there a new Walking Dead series in 2024?

The second season will premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, at which time the official AMC and AMC+ premeire date could also be announced.
The second season of Daryl Dixon will feature Daryl (Norman Reedus) in his adventures in France as he works alongside the Union of Hope against the Power of the Living. The first season chronicled his journey to France and the people he met while planning his return home. The season ended with Daryl being made to choose between beginning his journey home or staying in France to help his new-found friends. The teasers for the upcoming season show Daryl choosing to remain in France.
This season will also feature Carol’s (Melissa McBride) search for her best friend Daryl, whose last communication with her told her he would return to the Commonwealth in a week. He was unable to return as promised as he was thrown onto a ship bound for France.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol will air in the summer of 2024 on AMC and AMC+ and has been renewed for a third season.

The Walking Dead’s CCO, Scott M. Gimple, has previously stated that there are many more ideas for spinoffs within TWDU, but the current focus is on Daryl Dixon, Dead City, and The Ones Who Live. He added that if things go well for these series, which they have, more could be coming soon.
