Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department sits at No. 1 on pretty much every chart there is in the world. The project arrives with a massive debut sum in dozens of nations, returning the singer to the summit once again.

In at least one country, The Tortured Poets Department takes over for another album from Swift. Replacing oneself on an albums chart is an extremely rare feat–but one that Swift is already familiar with.

In Australia, The Tortured Poets Department debuts at No. 1 on the ARIA albums chart. Last week, Swift was already in charge of the same tally, but with a different title.

Swift’s own Lover was ruling the ARIA albums chart last time around. The 2019 pop effort from the multi-genre artist earned another stay in the penthouse last time around, but now as The Tortured Poets Department debuts, it’s been pushed down to No. 6.

This week marks the second time in Swift’s career that she’s replaced herself at No. 1 on the Australian albums chart. Coincidentally, she only managed the feat for the first time a month ago–and with Lover as well.

Around her trip to the nation for her The Eras Tour, Swift conquered the ARIA albums chart with several different projects. Her 2022 set Midnights led the charge for a stint, and then Lover took over as fans in the country channeled their excitement toward buying and streaming.
