After several thousand hours and over two years, Elden Ring fans have discovered that Rennala Queen of the Full Moon is not seated on the floor after she is defeated in Raya Lucaria Academy. While it might look like she is seated on a bench at first, it is actually a nursery crib which is a pretty neat detail when players take into perspective Elden Ring’s lore.
Just like other FromSoftware games, Elden Ring is well-known for its convoluted lore. It takes players months and years to put the pieces together and learn more about the various NPCs in the developer’s games. For example, players recently discovered why Torrent is scared of the Abyssal Woods in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC through an item description. Amid that, a new detail has emerged which several players seem to have missed all this while.
A new video shows what’s inside of Elden Ring boss Rennala’s mysterious egg, and it’s just as disturbing as FromSoftware fans would expect.
In a new post on the Elden Ring subreddit, user SoraBanTheThird highlights an interesting detail they came across in the game. They state that they recently noticed for the first time that Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon is not sitting on the ground, but instead on a bench. While players fight Rennala Queen of the Full Moon in the Raya Lucaria Academy, she becomes an NPC after the battle and players can use her help for respecing. When one looks at Rennala from the front, her robe covers most of the area and her stooping posture gives an appearance that she is actually seated on the ground, but that is actually far from the case.
Rennala Sitting On A Crib Has Much Larger Significance
While the original poster thought that it was a bench, others highlighted that it is in fact a nursery crib instead. While this might sound like a pretty unimportant detail, it has much larger significance, as the seating arrangment is a reminder that Rennala was in a dire state due to a series of events; those being Radagon of the Golden Order leaving her and Ranni’s death. It is a common sentiment in the community that Ranni’s death had a much larger effect on Rennala in Elden Ring, so her sitting on a nursery crib and grieving is quite a reminder of how much she misses her daughter.

Several other fans were equally surprised after discovering this detail. In fact, user loc710 adds that they didn’t know about it even after playing the game for 3500 hours. Another player goes to the extent of “swearing to Marika” about the fact that she was merely kneeling and not seated. Some even highlighted that this was probably the biggest example of the Mandela effect in action in Elden Ring. Considering that even FromSoftware revealed there is one more secret to be discovered in Elden Ring, it wouldn’t be more surprising to see more of these small discoveries in the near future as players look for the remaining secret.
