Zendaya’s name has now become synonymous with tennis thanks to her blockbuster film Challengers released this past April. The actor took her character’s passion for the sport to a whole new level this weekend after she was spotted at Wimbledon looking particularly stressed.
In a sea of tennis lovers, celebrities, and Londoners alike, Zendaya was photographed on Saturday, July 12, in the crowd at Wimbledon — the most prestigious and oldest tennis competition in the world. The actor was wearing Ralph Lauren while watching the women’s final match at the All England Tennis and Croquet Club. Saturday marked the second to last day of the competition, which lasted 13 days.
Zendaya’s blonde, curly hair was pulled back into a chic, messy bun, which showed off her opulent pearl earrings. Matching the formal dress of the event, Zendaya wore a pale blue button-up shirt and tie with a Ralph Lauren tweed blazer. She paired the preppy look with a Louis Vuitton handbag and dark blue trousers.

Unlike her Challengers movie character Tashi Duncan, Zendaya was not watching two men who were in love with her face off on the tennis court — but she looked equally as stressed. In multiple photos, Zendaya was shown to be completely immersed in the match, judging by her very relatable facial expressions.
The hit movie was Zendaya’s first official lead role in a film, which centers around a love triangle between her character, Art, and Patrick — played by Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, respectively. The actor leaned into the sport for the movie, wearing tennis-themed outfits throughout the press tour, including a dress with the movie’s poster on it. She took it one step further by appearing at the BNP Paribas Open final in Indian Wells, California in March, alongside her boyfriend Tom Holland.
She’s been spending more time in London as of late, supporting Holland as he performs on the West End in Romeo & Juliet. The couple were shown holding hands and leaving the Duke of York’s Theatre in May ahead of the show’s opening. Zendaya has since been spotted leaving the theater multiple times and giving Holland his moment to say hi to fans.
It looks like she took a break this weekend to enjoy some tennis without Holland and keep the Challengers theme going.
