A release date is on the board forĀ Minions 3Ā with theĀ Despicable MeĀ franchise proving to still be popular with fans. The thirdĀ MinionsĀ film getting its release date comes shortly afterĀ Despicable Me 4Ā had a strong opening at the box office.
PerĀ Deadline, the sequelĀ Minions 3Ā has been dated for a release in theaters on Wednesday, June 30, 2027. Just recently, the franchise filmĀ Despicable Me 4Ā debuted in theaters on July 3, and it has since earned $255 million worldwide. Collectively,Ā the franchise as a whole, counting theĀ Despicable MeĀ andĀ MinionsĀ movies, has earned nearly $5 billion.
After the recent release of The Rise Of Gru, villains like Vector stood out amongst the other antagonists or antiheroes in the Minions franchise.
Pierre Coffin Is Directing Minions 3
The nextĀ MinionsĀ movie will be helmed by a franchise veteran.Ā Minions 3Ā will be directed by Pierre Coffin, the voice of the Minions who has also been behind the first threeĀ Despicable MeĀ movies along with the firstĀ MinionsĀ film.Ā MinionsĀ andĀ The Secret Life of PetsĀ writer Brian Lynch is penning the script. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri will produceĀ Minions 3Ā alongsideĀ The Super Mario Bros. MovieĀ EP Bill Ryan.
Minions 3Ā will be released in theaters on June 30, 2027, whileĀ Despicable Me 4Ā can currently be seen in theaters.
