The fashion mogul, 44, celebrated Ashlee’s return to the stage as a solo music artist in a carousel of video clips shared on Instagram on Sunday, July 21.
“I woke up this mornin’ cryin’ like a fan girl nerd sister watchin’ this from last night!!!” Jessica began the caption of her post, which featured clips of Ashlee, 39, singing her hit songs “LaLa,” “L.O.V.E.” and “Pieces of Me” at the West Hollywood, California, nightclub Evita on Saturday, July 20.
“You are a f—–’ rockstar Ash! You looked, sounded and moved like you never missed a day on stage. It was simply EPIC!” Jessica added.
“What a beautiful moment with all of your backup singers (the entire crowd)…CHILLS…,” she continued. “You were born for this! Make a record asap! Let’s tour together and take the kids!”
“I am so proud to be your sister!!! You are INCREDIBLE! @ashleesimpsonross,” Jessica concluded her heartfelt message.
Ashlee — a mother of three who married Evan Ross in August 2014 — was celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Autobiography, on Saturday night. (The album was released on July 20, 2004.) To mark the milestone, she also released an expanded anniversary edition of the project with three bonus tracks on Friday, July 19.
Her show at Evita marked the first time Ashlee performed onstage as a solo artist in many years.
She released three albums in the early 2000s — Autobiography was followed by I Am Me in 2005 and Bittersweet World in 2008 — before stepping away from the music scene.
In 2022, Ashlee was a guest at Demi Lovato’s Los Angeles show on the Holy Fvck tour to sing her hit “LaLa.”
Before hitting the road with her husband, the “Dancing Alone” singer had last toured in 2008, per Rolling Stone.

As for Jessica, although she’s now a successful businesswoman with an eponymous fashion brand, she also began her career as a pop star.
“I feel like we’ve definitely had great moments, and I feel like even when I would do shows, just having her there [was great],” Ashlee recently told PEOPLE as she reflected on her musical era with her sister.
