90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After star Michael Ilesanmi finally revealed why he left estranged wife Angela Deem and ‘went missing’ on February 23 during Sunday’s episode of the TLC reality show.
‘After [filming the five-part eighth season Tell-All], we got home and my worst fear came true,’ the 58-year-old grandmother-of-six recalled.
‘We was home four days, I believe, four days, three days, he was gone. He was gone.’
The Nigerian 35-year-old – who’s 23 years younger than Angela – then recalled how she ‘started giving me attitude and saying all sorts of things to me’ as soon as they had returned home.
‘So it got to a point – I just had to leave,’ Michael said.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After star Michael Ilesanmi finally revealed why he left estranged wife Angela Deem and ‘went missing’ on February 23 during Sunday’s episode of the TLC reality show
‘She said she wants to go out to make some errands, so she left the house, I went to the closet, picked up my backpack and my essential documents and my jacket, and I left the house.’
Ilesanmi ‘walked for about five hours’ away from Deem’s Hazlehurst, GA home and ‘almost got bitten by a dog’ in the process, but he was able to reach ‘one or two of my friends’ after ‘begging a man’ to use his phone.
All in all, it took the aspiring influencer – who’s now said to be happily living with friends in Texas – ‘about 18 hours’ to finally reach his current residence via bus.
Michael famously met the self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Reality’ on Facebook in 2017 before marrying in 2020, but they were long-distance loves until he finally received a US visa and moved to Georgia last December.
‘I’m here for the right reason, of course, yes, from the bottom of my heart, I’m here for the right reason, you know, but unfortunately, what I was expecting wasn’t what I met, you know,’ Ilesanmi continued.
‘I just want to move on with my life. Enough is enough. I mean, no one deserves to be treated this way. And I mean, I want the best for us, for myself, but it’s just so unfortunate. I can’t just take it anymore.’
At the end of the clip, Angela threatened: ‘I’ll see you soon Michael. In a plane or a courtroom.’
Indeed, the Florida-born blonde filed to annul their marriage in a Georgia court on June 20 on the grounds of being ‘fraudulently induced in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce US citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status.’

‘She spit on him, screamed in his face, threw drinks on him, tried to destroy his car, smashed his cell phones, controlled him, called him names,’ Instagram user @joelkay wrote.
‘As a survivor of [domestic violence] this was all triggering to me. [I don’t know] how she sleeps at night dehumanizing another human being none the less her husband like that.’
