90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Michael Ilesanmi is gearing up to fight Angela Deem in court after raising over $40,000 and meeting up with a lawyer. Michael has set up a GoFundMe to get help with his legal fees after Angela submitted an annulment filing. She is accusing Michael of allegedly fraudulently inducing her into marriage to get permanent resident status in the U.S. Michael left Angela in February 2024 after coming to the U.S. Michael has been living in Texas ever since and Angela is trying to shame American fans for helping Michael through the expensive legal process.

Popular TV cooking host and YouTuber Ify Mogekwu surprised her Instagram followers by posting a photo with Michael.
She wrote, “Seeeeeeee who I have here” in her caption before adding that most of her followers know Michael and follow his story closely. Still, Ify asked her fans to name him and tell her where they knew him from. In the photo, Michael sat next to the influencer dressed in an off-white t-shirt with a black cap and making a thumbs-up gesture while smiling for the camera. Michael also commented on the post with a raised hands emoji and a red heart.

Someone asked Ify where she “found Michael.” She replied that they were in Houston. Someone joked and told her to not pose next to Michael because Angela might catch her. A different follower, home_solutions_ng commented, “Abii Ify is now Micheal’s lawyer because cooking made us to forget her profession.” Ify replied to them with, “You made me laugh out loud now.” According to BMLD, Ifeyinwa Mogekwu is a lawyer and an award-winning food blogger. She practiced as a corporate lawyer in ACAS-Law at a top firm in Lagos. Ify has successfully merged both careers as a lawyer and celebrated chef.
Michael did not reveal his purpose behind meeting Ify.
Both Michael and the celebrity food influencer come from Lagos, Nigeria, and may have bonded over their common roots. Michael likely filmed a special video with Ify to share a recipe he missed from back home. Meanwhile, Michael will surely keep fans updated about his legal decisions since they have contributed over $40,000 towards his fundraiser wherein Michael only expected to raise $25,000. Michael has to defend himself against Angela, who has decided to fight tooth and nail to make sure their marriage never existed, so Michael’s immigration could be affected.
Angela wants to make Michael’s life difficult, but while she seethes with jealousy, Michael has been busy building new connections.
Most 90 Day Fiancé cast members, apart from his own co-stars on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 are wholeheartedly supporting Michael. Kobe Blaise, Jasmine Pineda, Colt Johnson, Daniele Gates, etc have donated towards Michael’s GoFundMe and are asking fans to follow suit. Angela and Michael are yet to face each other in court, and it remains to be seen if Angela can fulfill her evil intentions.
