90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem gave her heart and soul to Michael Ilesanmi and now, she has nothing – I’m certain that her concerning revenge makeover is a ploy to get him back. There’s nothing wrong with that – people fall in love and when they split up, it’s not uncommon for one person to be more heartbroken than the other. At least Angela can love. However, the combative Georgia peach spent years shooting herself in the foot by lashing out at the younger Nigerian man. She attacked his car – Angela even shoved a strawberry shortcake into his face.

For these reasons and more, Angela’s not getting sympathy, but anyone who’s pining for an ex deserves some kind of compassion.

Angela has learned to be tough. However, under that steely exterior, she’s a marshmallow… a total softie. When she isn’t raging (she’s easily triggered), she’s remarkably romantic and gullible. Remember how many times Angela forgave Michael for… well, almost everything? Whether he was gazing at a scantily clad dancer in a bar, with his eyes fully glazed, or cheating by receiving oral sex from a woman he gave a ride to, he was trouble with a capital “T.” Angela would find ways to rationalize all of it – this was sad, but how she feels right now is even sadder.

Angela’s not a born victim. The former hospice nurse is a strong woman who honestly deserves better than a younger man who chatted up other women on social media behind her back. He was like a caricature of a bad boyfriend. Then, Michael became a terrible husband. If Michael hadn’t cheated, lied and seen dollar signs all the time, would “Angie” have been a kinder, gentler partner? Absolutely. This isn’t to say that I approve of her methods. Violence is never the answer. However, Michael put Angela through the wringer.

Angela’s feeling a lot right now. The man she once gushed about frolicked with a new family on the Fourth of July – Michael celebrated Independence Day without the woman who made his stay in America possible. He’s also teasing a possible new girlfriend. For Angela, jealousy is a powerful trigger – it brings out the very worst in the famous Meemaw. She cannot handle it. She tries but it eats away at her, making her angry and miserable.

To mask all her pain, Angie’s given herself a makeover. Her post-split look is rather extreme.

I like Angela’s style in general. She’s a bold woman who should wear what she wants. She’s able to pull off outfits that even much-younger women could not “rock.” That’s because she has charisma and self-confidence. However, the issue right now is that her self-esteem appears to be at a low ebb. Michael has hurt her badly. So, she’s not exuding the usual regal quality, although she’s trying to. It might be better to just be honest about her pain. To mask all her pain, Angie’s given herself a makeover. Her post-split look is rather extreme.

Angela‘s makeover isn’t all bad, as seen above – however, the revealing outfits and poses with young and handsome men are an obvious cry for help. It seems like it’s Michael’s “help” that she wants. It’s her pattern to blow up at a partner (well, Michael anyway) and then want him back. She explodes due to all the pressure, and then she has regrets. That’s her way. This time, there may be no going back and there shouldn’t be.

No matter how young Angela dresses, and it’s her life, she should know better than to want another round with this guy. He is just not sincere. No amount of 90 Day: The Last Resort therapy is enough to fix what is wrong. The relationship, founded on Michael’s greed and desire for an easy life in America, was poisoned from day one. The poison has infected everything. Angela is now single after years of trying to make it work.

She has lost so much. Michael doesn’t care.

Angela’s wearing skimpy clothes, showing off a leaner figure that may actually be the byproduct of extreme emotional trauma – that is what’s so sad. She’s touring right now and still dressing up – I admire her courage in the face of something so humiliating. In that sense, she really is a queen. She will never give up. However, she needs some time with her pain – she needs to really face it without pretending that she’s living large.

At night, when Angela takes off the yellow gold jewelry that she’s been piling on lately, and wipes off the heavy makeup, and is bundled up in pajamas instead of skintight tank tops and high heels, she must face herself. She must look back. Thinking about how sad Angela must feel when it’s dark and quiet is upsetting. Michael shouldn’t have used this woman.

Angela Doesn’t Need To Change Herself

For eons, this older woman who is never going to look like a 21-year-old has been trying to compete with women that age, and it is senseless. She is who she is – Angela’s an attractive person who’s fiery, bright and funny. She has more star quality than almost any woman around. Her electric personality makes her fun to look at, no matter what. She doesn’t need to have painful operations and darken her eyebrows to jet black. She doesn’t need to dress like a teenager at the mall. Angela is beautiful just the way she is.

What’s sad is that Michael never appreciated the volcanic beauty of Angela’s soul. All the lava that erupts when she loses her temper has a flip side. It’s her bighearted love being warped and destroyed. Michael did that when he used her and betrayed her trust. Another man might want to get close to that kind of heat. He’s simply the wrong man for her.

Angela, you’re not perfect, but neither am I, and I think there are many amazing things about you. Your life force is so strong that it can energize others through their screens. You try to suck the marrow out of life and that’s what it’s all about, right? I hope you never go back to Michael, because I believe you’re better than him.

You sincerely love, but he doesn’t. Your pain is real, while his is fake. You are true blue. While you shouldn’t choose violence, if you avoid that in the future, you can do anything.

Michael will hurt more women in the future. You won’t be the only one. On your own, in the plainest t-shirt and jeans, with a scrubbed face and your hair pulled back, you are a million times the star he could ever be. That is your superpower. I hope you look in the mirror and see the beauty of your own soul. You’re a survivor – someone who stands out absolutely anywhere. And I care about your pain. Lots of 90 Day Fiancé stars do. We love you just the way you are. Michael, not so much.
