A loved-up couple say they are targeted by vile trolls for being in a “mixed-weight” relationship.
Lexi Wilson and Kobe Smith met when they were in high school and soon became “best friends”. However, Lexi says she didn’t give Kobe the “time of day” because of his size.
Eventually, she says she had a “light bulb moment” and realised she loved Kobe. The pair, from Alabama, USA, have since suffered cruel comments from online trolls.
Speaking on Love Don’t Judge, Lexi said: “We’re in a mixed-weight relationship and people often think our relationship is fake. The judgement we get is the fat jokes, ‘how did you get’, ‘you must be rich’, ‘she’s only after you for your money.”
Kobe says his larger frame has never “held him back” when it comes to dating. He said: “I’m the most confident big man in the world.
“Anytime I get the opportunity to take my shirt off, I’m just him. I never got bullied or anything like that because of my size or anything of that nature.”

Lexi says when she first posted a picture of Kobe on TikTok it “blew up,” but the comments were not overly judgemental. However, as she started to share more about the couple’s life, the trolls soon came out in force.
Kobe said: “I feel like I’ve been judged online because in the comments they see her and they’ll see me they’ll be like ‘how?’”
Kobe however says he likes to encourage body positivity and regularly goes to the gym with Lexi. He added: “Body positivity to me is not caring what people have to say. If you [are] big you go to the pool, take your shirt off, don’t be stun what other people have to say.
“For all the people who judge mixed-weight relationships, I feel like they’re insecure and stupid. They like to project their own insecurities on people.
“Why should it even bother you who I am with, it’s not like you have to put up with me or put up with her.”
