CONTROVERSIAL Limpopo rapper Shebeshxt has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
Shebeshxt, who attended his daughter’s funeral in a wheelchair on Saturday, 22 June, while the venue was heavily guarded by security personnel, was discharged on Tuesday, 2 July.
His lawyer and family spokesman, Lot Ramusi, revealed to Daily Sun that although the musician is recovering well, he’s currently using crutches to walk.
While attending his daughter’s funeral, the artist was surrounded by health workers and guards as he entered the tent at Lebowakgomo zone A with a tearful face.
The sobbing rapper, who remained seated in his wheelchair, had his oxygen tank plugged in, a drip wire covering his nose, and his drip placed on his lap.
Ramusi said Shebeshxt is taking it slow on his recovery journey.
Addressing rumours of Shebeshxt being investigated by police for culpable homicide, Ramusi said the cops are investigating whether there’s a possible case of culpable homicide on the part of the truck driver and also Shebeshxt.
“It’s a standard procedure done in every accident,” he said.
While social media speculates that the musician was drunk, Ramusi disputes the allegations.
“He was not drunk at all. He was sober. He had just woken up and was taking his daughter to his mother’s house so he could go to a gig,” he said.
