MAKING nutritious meals for your kids is part of being a mum, with many spending hours trying to find ways to sneak extra veggies into their food.
One mum has decided to abandon greens altogether though, as her family now has a ‘carnivore diet’ and she regularly serves desiccated organs for dinner.

Ironically, nutritionist Izabelle used to be vegan before having kids.
Having enjoyed mostly plant-based foods eight years ago, the mum decided to make the switch to a paleo diet after giving birth to her youngest son, Taj.
Almost immediately, she noticed a change in her body.
Not only did she rapidly lose the baby weight, but adding fish and meat back into her meals had other health benefits too.
Despite admitting that she thought a carnivore diet was ‘crazy’, the nutritionist has been so impressed that she and her family now eat a 90% carnivore diet.
Refusing to go back to their old eating habits, the family will now chow down on raw milk, egg yolks, desiccated organs, and consume very few, if any, vegetables.
Even her youngest son, Taj, one, will have a hearty breakfast consisting of three pasture-raised eggs cooked in grass-fed butter and mixed berries.
Whilst other toddlers are having finger food for lunch and dinner, Izabelle’s little one will have 100g of homemade beef burgers in grass-fed butter with 10 prawns and a slow-cooked beef brisket.
Meanwhile, the busy mum is having a dinner of ‘random leftovers’ with chicken breast, parmesan cheese, blue choose and some watermelon, alongside some desiccated organs.
Though the influencer had initially worried about a lack of vegetables, she claims that her family get all the nutrients they need from meat.
She even states that her little one is taller and healthier than other children his age, with no known allergies either.
“He took steps early at seven months old [and] was fully walking comfortably and almost running at 10 months,” the Aussie revealed to What’s The Jam.
The mum-of-two also says that she is saving over AUS $400 a month by not buying veggies and no longer has to worry about getting her kids to eat vegetables
Izabelle admitted: “I thought the carnivore diet sounded crazy, too, years ago. But it was before I had tried it myself and I had very little understanding of the benefits.”
According to the Aussie woman, there have been angry ‘leaf nibblers’ (vegans) in the comments – who claim that her lifestyle is ‘cruel’.
“Stop forcing your lifestyle on your child,” argued one irate commentor, with another adding: “Or give him plants and meat. Your kids are going to have heart problems at 10.”
A third joked: “This kid will become a Viking and conquer foreign lands by age 10.”
This hasn’t put off Izabelle though, who regularly gets other mums asking her about the family’s alternative diet.
Now pregnant with her third child, the influencer is planning to feed them the same meaty diet from six months old and is currently creating a guide about how to wean children onto meat.
Though she does encourage parents to consider a carnivore diet, she says families need to work out what is right for them.
She added: “I always recommend my clients and families to do what feels good for them.
“Never copy 100% of what we are doing, all families and kids are different – so make it your own.”
