Vanessa shared some extremely troubling news about Colt in January 2023 on her Instagram account. In her now-deleted post, she revealed Colt had been in an accident in early December. Colt had undergone three surgeries to fix his broken leg and torn meniscus. Colt was wheelchair-bound. His bladder had stopped working because of his pain medication and anesthesia. Vanessa revealed it was going to take Colt six to eight months to heal. She never revealed the kind of “accident” Colt had, but in September 2023, confirmed Colt broke his leg while filming in Reno for The Last Resort.

Vanessa claimed what they were filming was supposed to be the first episode of the spin-off. Colt and Vanessa never made it to Florida. Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown were roped in as replacements for Colt and Vanessa after he fell down. She added that the network later approached them to film another show, but they declined. Vanessa told her followers that she was never going to star in another 90 Day Fiancé show ever again and neither was Colt.

It looked like things were going well for the couple even though they had agreed to star in 90 Day: The Last Resort and undergo couples therapy to save their marriage. Vanessa revealed she left Colt in April 2024.

Vanessa revealed she wasn’t in love with him anymore. She wanted Colt to work on himself before being with anybody new. It appears that Colt has taken his now ex-wife’s advice in stride. The 90 Day Fiancé star posted a video of himself on his 39th birthday in June 2024 where he revealed his new short hair and trimmed beard.
