Isitha star Sipho Ndlovu is making headlines after he was allegedly arrested on assault charges soon after his girlfriend, Thandeka Mhlanga, was granted bail. The two are topping trends after they opened criminal cases against each other amid their woes.

Rumour mill has it that the two reports were made against the backdrop of their scuffle last weekend.

SIPHO NDLOVU ALLEGEDLY ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING GIRLFRIEND

Thandeka has it that the celebrated actor assaulted her after she caught him with another woman. On the other hand, Sipho Ndlovu claims assault, crimen injuria and defamation of character.

Against the allegations, the actor vehemently denied the claims and made a police report, which saw Mhlanga being arrested. The actress appeared before the Randburg Magistrate’s Court and was granted R1 000 bail.

Thandeka’s case was postponed to 21 August for further investigation. Sipho was present during her court appearance. According to a source, Thandeka opened a countercharge against the actor shortly after being released on bail.

However, Sipho Ndlovu’s manager confirmed his arrest to the media. Speaking to the media, Alexis Tshangana said, “I can confirm that Sipho has been arrested. This bitter ex-girlfriend opened a countercharge against him.”

RELATIONSHIP WOES AND ABUSE ALLEGATIONS

Thandeka Mhlanga took to social media on Tuesday, 16 July, to accuse Ndlovu of gender-based violence. Taking to social media, Mhlanga shared a series of images of her bruised eye with the caption, ‘Results of dating a weak man. Please share and repost.’

Speaking to the media, the 32-year-old actress said that she found Ndlovu’s behaviour leading to the incident. She said that she visited Ndlovu’s place after she suspected that the actor was with someone at his residence.

Upon arrival, the guards barred her until she forced her way to Ndlovu’s house, which was already outside.

She said to the media, “When he finally answered my call, he pretended to be sleeping, but I could hear that he was not in bed. I then drove to his place, and when I arrived there, the security refused to let me in until I forcefully let myself inside the estate.”

The actress said Ndlovu was already outside when she arrived and that she could tell he was with a woman. “He blocked me from entering the house, and he slapped me and pushed me to the ground before throwing me out,” she said.
