Toco, the man who spent £12,500 transforming himself into a dog with an apparently ultra-realistic costume, has unveiled a fellow human dog friend with a similar husky costume

A bloke who lives as a dog in a £12,500 collie costume might have gone a bit too far.

He’s been seen flocking around with a friend in the form of a human husky. The YouTuber, known by the name Toco, first hit headlines after declaring his desire to live life as a dog.

He shared unusual videos going about his dog-ish antics, walking down streets and being stroked even telling a child he ‘doesn’t bite. He’s even made canine friends – but real dogs aren’t too sure.

Now, following a period of silence on his social media pages, the ‘human dog’ has reappeared with a fellow furry sidekick. In Toco’s latest video, he’s seen playing tug of war and then dancing with a person in a husky dog suit in unusual scenes.

Despite his expensive and very lifelike costume Toco still looks like a person in fancy dress and can now be seen hanging out with a fellow human also wanting to be a dog. It seems he’s found his person.

Shared to his channel ‘I Want To Be An Animal’ and its 70,000-strong followers on the video platform, the video is titled simply ‘POKÉDANCE’ as the pair play with a dog toy and carry out very human dance moves.

The man-sized animal made waves when he appeared in public for an interview with a German TV station back in 2022. The interview was shot last year but uploaded in February.

Previous excursions into Tokyo, Japan, showed Toco dragged around in a buggy by his “owner”, who minds him in public and makes sure the collie costume is kept in good order.

Reacting to the latest video with his sidekick, one said: “Now it is not I Want To Be An Animal it’s we want to be an animal.” Others said: “THERE ARE TWO NOW???” and “Love the new husky!”.

Declaring it might be going too far one bemused watcher said: “This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them.”

One fan said: “Aww this is so cute I’m glad you have a husky friend that shares interest.” Another added: “This guy wanted to be a dog so he went and became a dog. That’s admirable. I’m happy you’re following your dreams, and I wish you luck!”

One sceptic said: “A little bit of advice, as a dog, you usually don’t open your arms, which may be because Alaskan dogs are not yet very skilled and a bit unrealistic. Shepherds do it very well” to which one rather humorously replied, in case they didn’t know, “It’s a human inside.”

It’s left some unanswered questions though for fans. Does Toco simply have a new friend or has he found love?
